Morning | Discover the Untouched Landscapes of Vi Xuyen
.Leaving Ha Giang City along National Highway 2, we travel through the Loong Lake area before reaching Hollow Mountain Bach Ngoc in Vi Xuyen.
.One of the highlights of the first day, this remarkable mountain is known for its distinctive natural rock formation and unspoiled surroundings. Although it has recently attracted attention through travel videos on Vietnamese social media, it remains outside most conventional Ha Giang Loop itineraries.
.We’ll stop to admire the scenery, take photos, and enjoy the peaceful natural surroundings before continuing our journey.
Afternoon | Scenic Mountain Roads to Ba Be Lake
.Continue through the mountainous countryside towards Na Hang in Tuyen Quang, stopping for lunch at a local restaurant and taking breaks along the way.
.At approximately 17:00, arrive near Ba Be Lake, check into a local homestay, and enjoy dinner with the host family.

DAY 2 🚣♂️ | BA BE LAKE – PUONG CAVE – DAU DANG WATERFALL – HUA MA CAVE
Morning | Discover the Scenic Beauty of Ba Be Lake by Boat
.After breakfast, begin a scenic boat journey across Ba Be Lake. Glide over its emerald-green waters, passing small, tree-covered rocky islands rising from the lake, surrounded by limestone mountains and lush forests. The constantly changing scenery offers beautiful views and plenty of opportunities for photography.
.During this half-day boat excursion, visit Puong Cave and Dau Dang Waterfall. Afterwards, return to the homestay for lunch and a short rest before the afternoon activities.
Afternoon | Explore Hua Ma Cave and Lakeside Villages
.Travel by motorbike to Hua Ma Cave, where you can admire its impressive natural stalactites and stalagmites.
.Then enjoy a leisurely walk through traditional lakeside villages, observing everyday local life and soaking up the peaceful atmosphere of the Ba Be region.
.Return to the homestay for dinner and relaxation.

DAY 3 🏍️ | BA BE LAKE → CAO BANG CITY
.After breakfast, leave Ba Be Lake and continue your motorbike adventure along scenic mountain roads towards Cao Bang.
.Along the way, enjoy beautiful mountain landscapes, peaceful rural scenery, and quieter roads away from the usual tourist routes. We’ll stop at scenic viewpoints for photos, short breaks, and time to appreciate the surroundings.
.Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant along the way.
.At approximately 15:45, arrive in Cao Bang City, check into your homestay, and relax. In the evening, enjoy local dishes and discover the flavors of Cao Bang cuisine.

DAY 4 🏍️ | CAO BANG – NUNG AN CRAFT VILLAGES – NGUOM NGAO CAVE – BAN GIOC WATERFALL AREA
Morning | Scenic Mountain Roads & Traditional Craft Villages
.After breakfast, leave Cao Bang City and travel through Ma Phuc Pass, enjoying beautiful limestone mountain scenery and peaceful local villages.
.Visit three traditional craft villages of the Nung An people: a handmade paper village, a traditional knife-forging village, and Phia Thap incense-making village. Discover crafts passed down through generations and take part in hands-on papermaking and knife-forging activities alongside local artisans.
Afternoon | Explore Nguom Ngao Cave
.After lunch at a local restaurant, continue to Nguom Ngao Cave, where you can explore impressive natural stalactites and stalagmites in a fascinating underground landscape.

Afternoon | God’s Eye Mountain & Journey to Pac Bo
.After lunch, continue by motorbike to God’s Eye Mountain, famous for its remarkable natural opening through the limestone peak, rising above a green valley surrounded by Cao Bang’s beautiful mountain scenery.
.Then travel to the Pac Bo area, check in at a traditional Tay homestay, and enjoy dinner and a peaceful evening in the village.

DAY 6 🏍️ | PAC BO – LENIN STREAM – ME PIA PASS – MEO VAC

.After breakfast at the Tay ethnic homestay, begin the day by exploring the historic Pac Bo Site, an important landmark associated with President Ho Chi Minh’s revolutionary activities after his return to Vietnam in 1941.
.Here, you’ll discover the beautiful Lenin Stream, famous for its crystal-clear emerald-green water surrounded by lush mountains, and visit Pac Bo Cave, where you’ll learn about the history and significance of this remarkable location.
Afternoon | Me Pia Pass & Journey to Meo Vac
.After lunch, continue by motorbike from Cao Bang towards Meo Vac in Ha Giang. This scenic journey connects two of Northern Vietnam’s most remarkable mountainous regions, offering breathtaking views of towering mountains, deep valleys, and peaceful ethnic villages scattered across the landscape.
.One of today’s highlights is the famous Me Pia Pass (14-Level Pass), known for its 14 dramatic hairpin bends winding along the mountainside. Stop at a suitable viewpoint to admire the spectacular scenery and capture memorable photographs of this remarkable mountain road.
.At approximately 5:00 PM, arrive in Meo Vac town and check in at Oanh Thu Hotel for some well-deserved rest. Enjoy dinner at a local restaurant in town.

DAY 7 🏍️ | MEO VAC – MA PI LENG PASS – LUNG CU / NHO QUE RIVER – LAO XA
Morning | Ma Pi Leng Pass & Lung Cu Flag Tower
.After breakfast at a local restaurant in Meo Vac town, begin the journey along the spectacular Ma Pi Leng Pass, enjoying breathtaking views of towering limestone mountains, the deep Tu San Canyon, and the emerald-green Nho Que River winding far below.
.Continue through Dong Van Old Quarter without stopping, heading towards Lung Cu Flag Tower. Climb to the top for panoramic views of the surrounding mountains and border villages, then enjoy lunch at a local restaurant near the foot of the tower.
Afternoon | Border Villages & Traditional Silver Craftsmanship
.After lunch, visit Lo Lo Chai Village and Then Pa Village, discovering traditional architecture, beautiful mountain scenery, and the everyday lives of local ethnic communities.
.Continue to the Vuong Family Palace (Hmong King’s Palace) to explore its distinctive architecture and fascinating history.
.Then travel to Lao Xa Village, known for its traditional H’mong silversmithing. Discover how local artisans create handcrafted silver jewellery using techniques passed down through generations.
.Check in at Doi Da Homestay in Lao Xa Village, enjoy dinner, and relax.
Alternative Option | Nho Que River Boat Trip
.Guests may choose a boat trip along the Nho Que River to admire the spectacular Tu San Canyon from the water. This experience takes approximately 3 hours, including travel time and the boat journey.
.If you choose this option, the itinerary will skip Lung Cu Flag Tower, Lo Lo Chai Village, and Then Pa Village. Instead, enjoy lunch in Dong Van Old Quarter before visiting the Vuong Family Palace and the traditional silversmithing village in Lao Xa, followed by check-in at the homestay.

DAY 8 🏍️ | LAO XA – YEN MINH – QUAN BA – HA GIANG
Morning | Hmong Traditional Crafts & Scenic Mountain Roads
.After breakfast at the homestay, leave Lao Xa Village and continue the journey through Yen Minh, Can Ty, and Bat Dai Son towards Quan Ba.
.Along the way, visit a traditional H’mong hemp-weaving village. Discover how local artisans spin hemp fibres and weave fabric, and enjoy a hands-on experience creating traditional patterns using beeswax on cloth — a unique cultural practice passed down through generations.
Afternoon | Quan Ba’s Scenic Highlights & Dao Herbal Bath Experience
.After lunch, continue exploring the beautiful landscapes of Quan Ba, stopping at famous viewpoints including the Twin Fairy Mountains, Quan Ba Heaven Gate, and Bac Sum Pass.
.During the journey, experience a traditional Red Dao herbal bath and learn about the medicinal plants and preparation methods that local communities have preserved for generations.
.Return to Ha Giang City and enjoy a special dinner with the family of Long, the founder of Dragon Team.
After dinner, prepare to board the overnight sleeper bus back to Hanoi.
